New cafe registers at 6-8 Blackheath Village

Blackheath Coffee Company has filed its food registration for the parade down to the station and is awaiting a first inspection.

A new cafe called Blackheath Coffee Company has registered with Lewisham's food safety team at 6-8 Blackheath Village, the parade running down towards the station, and is listed as awaiting its first hygiene inspection. That registration is the paperwork a food business files before it starts trading, so the shutters may well go up before an inspector calls.

Beyond the name and the address, nothing has been announced: no opening date, no word on who is behind it. Still, an independent coffee name rather than another chain is the better outcome for the parade, and the Village can absorb another decent flat white. The question is what was in the unit before and what the hours will be — worth a look next time you walk down to the station.
